1. VEHICLE RENTAL AGREEMENT: By renting a vehicle from Wind Car Rentals, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.

2. RESPONSIBILITY FOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: As the renter, you are responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the rented vehicle during the rental period.

3. MONTHLY MAINTENANCE: Wind Car Rentals reserves the right to schedule monthly maintenance or repair for the rented vehicle. In the event that the vehicle requires maintenance or repair lasting up to two days, Wind Car Rentals will provide an alternate vehicle if available. If an alternate vehicle is not available, Wind Car Rentals will make reasonable efforts to minimize any inconvenience to the renter.

4. FUEL REQUIREMENTS: The renter is required to use only 91 grade gasoline for refueling the rented vehicle. The use of gasoline with a lower grade may result in damage to the vehicle’s engine, and the renter will be held responsible for any associated repair costs.

5. SMOKING OR EXCESSIVE CLEANING: Smoking inside the rented vehicle or excessive cleaning requirements upon return will result in a fee of $500.

6. UNPAID TOLLS/PARKING TICKETS HANDLING FEE: The renter is responsible for any unpaid tolls or parking tickets incurred during the rental period. Wind Car Rentals will charge a handling fee of $35 per ticket for processing and administrative costs associated with unpaid tolls or parking tickets.

7. LATE FEE: A late fee of $10 per day will be charged for each day the rented vehicle is returned past the agreed-upon return date and time.

8. CLEANING CHARGE: In the event the vehicle is returned unclean, a cleaning charge of $60 will be applied.

9. GAS CHARGE: If the vehicle is returned without the same gas level as at the beginning of the rental period, a gas charge of $100 will be applied.

10. RESPONSIBILITY FOR VEHICLE CONDITION: The renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was at the beginning of the rental period, with consideration for normal wear and tear.

11. OIL CHANGE NOTIFICATION: The renter is responsible for notifying Wind Car Rentals when the vehicle is due for an oil change. Failure to inform Wind Car Rentals in a timely manner may result in the renter being held responsible for any damages resulting from the overdue oil change.

12. ACCIDENTS AND BREAKDOWNS: In the event of an accident or vehicle breakdown, it is the renter’s responsibility to contact Wind Car Rentals immediately. If the vehicle is struck or not working, the renter agrees to tow it by the vehicle and up to two working days for minor incidents, unless assistance is provided by Wind Car Rentals.

13. TOWING OUTSIDE LOS ANGELES: If the vehicle becomes inoperable outside the Los Angeles area, the renter is responsible for arranging and covering the full cost of towing, even if the issue is due to a mechanical fault with the vehicle.

14. OPTIONS IN CASE OF VEHICLE FAULT: Should the rented vehicle prove to be faulty during the rental period, the renter has the option to either request a replacement vehicle or request a refund of the remaining rental balance, as per the terms outlined in the rental agreement.

15. ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY RENTER: The renter is responsible for replacing the rented vehicle in cases of at-fault accidents. The renter is also responsible for any damages incurred to the rented vehicle and any third-party property.

16. DAMAGE AND GLASS REPAIRS: The renter is responsible in full for all tire damages and glass repairs incurred during the rental period.

17. FAILURE TO RETURN OR PAY ON TIME: Failure to return the vehicle or pay rental fees on time may result in Wind Car Rentals reporting the vehicle as stolen to the police.

18. ABANDONMENT OF VEHICLE: If the renter abandons the vehicle without prior authorization from Wind Car Rentals, a fee of up to $1,000 will be charged for the retrieval of the vehicle, in addition to any costs associated with repossessing the key.

19. RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION: Reservation cancellations are subject to the terms outlined in the rental agreement and may incur additional charges.

20. JURISDICTION: This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, and any disputes arising from it shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.

21. AGREEMENT BY RENTER: By signing the rental agreement or accepting the terms and conditions electronically, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all the terms and conditions outlined herein.
